Remote dimmer and dimmer switch
Hello Members!
Just few quick question:
I just do not know what the the part called "Remote Dimmer" do on the 85-92 firebirds? Because the early birds (82-84) do not have them but has dimming feature without it. The dimmer switch itself was looks in shape same and has the same connector-pigtail bit the earlier unit button is black and has a heat sink on the side while the later has gray **** and no heat sink just a blue cover.
So the switch has just a redesigned form or has internal difference based on the remote dimmer?
And the gray switch can be used on the early cars without problem? Wont cause electrical overload, fire, short, or etc?
Just want to know the reason why and what they changed.
Thanks for any reply!
