Remote Starter w/ VATS?

Hey Fellas,
I got some cash at work the other night, and I figured, why not run out to Pep Boys and buy a nice remote starter for the ol' RS. Then I remembered before I the thought cleared my mind, the car won't start with the VATS system. I have a 92 RS (duh) and it has the pellet in the key. I am wondering, can I use a remote starter with the VATS system or is it not possible at all, if there is any major bypassing or removal of VATS to make it possible, forget it, lemme know if its possible with VATS, thanks guys.

Just do what I did and find a connector of the same type in a junk yard and solder in a resistor. Then find the connector under the dash, near the SIR system with a whole bunch of yellow tape, and plug it in. It worked for me. Look here.

You can use auto start on a car with VATS but you must do 1 of 2 things. Disable VATS totally or buy a VATS bypass which will override VATS while doing a auto start. You can buy them on ebay for $10-15. Here is a link:

What 92RSB4C said will work if you want to override VATS completely. If you want to keep VATS active you will need to buy a VATS bypass.

Im just cutrious what kind of remote starter you have??? I just got one also (non vatts) but I might be able to see what my remote starter instructions say for diabling vatts for starting.
