Which instrument cluster sending units do I need?
Okay, so I decided I want to swap my 85 mph dummy lights cluster with an 110mph one off an 88 tbi. I heard in order for the coolant temp and oil pressure to work, you need to swap the oil/coolant sensors with sending units. I tried looking up which ones I need, and like 4 types came up. I couldnt find this anywhere on the site, and it seems all cars have different ones. I know I need sending units, and not ecm sensors, but does anyone know the exact parts I need? I have a 305 v8 1985 Camaro Sport coupe, with the VIN letter G with E4ME carb, if that matters. Any help is appreciated.

You need the sendor for the gauge style not the dummy lights
what i did i went and got sensor from an 86 camaro with gauges even tho my camaro was an 84
you need oil, water (side of block) and that's it

I would input the donor car year and engine in the search bar and use those sending units. Basically a sending unit is a device that changes resistance based on the pressure or temperature it sees. Match the sensor to the receiver is the key. If the gauge is looking for a 0-100 ohm load the sensor has to use that range.
