I moved this to electronics, these guys are smarter about stereo issues than the history board. I hope someone in here can help him

Aftermarket head unit aftermarket speakers in stock location my 4x6's are from kicker they're the CS series and sound grea.t I have a 5 1/4 inch subwoofers they don't make any sound until the gain switch is pushed and when it's pushed they make this click, pop, and loud buzzing. I'm trying to figure it out by myself so I don't have to pay someone to fix it

Re: Performance Sound Buzzing?
I think There is your problem. The Stock amp is designed for 10 ohm speakers, 99% of all aftermarket auto speakers are 4 ohm, They pop because you are over driving the amp and it is clipping the sound.. If you turn up the gain about 1/2 way it will sound fine. Ideally you should run 2 4 ohm speakers or get some 6 ohm resistors to add to the resistance to eliminate the pop. Sure it will not be as loud BUT it will not blow your amp, or your speakers...
Some of the car stereo guys here are smarter than me and will hopefully correct me where I went wrong.

Re: Performance Sound Buzzing?
I just sourced a new 3 series 9 bolt diff I currently have a 2 series 2.77 and I just did a 5 speed swap. Those gears don't work too well with a WC t5 so I ordered a new set of 3.70 and got my speedometer gears set for the 3.70's when I did the swap so around mid March I should be traveling with one bad *ss WS6 with 4 disk brakes performance suspension and thanks to y'all performance sound.
