Idle speed Control wire

So I'm back working on the wiring in the 'ol IROC and have run into a wire that I'm not too sure what to do with.

The engine harness wiring was destroyed by mice before I bought my car and I decided to graft a FAST EZ-EFI 2.0 system into the C100 block. The majority of the wiring was pretty self explanatory, but I'm left with the A7 Pink/Black Idle Speed control wire and have no clue what to do with it, or what it was even for?

Any advice oh wise and powerful TGO members?

Re: Idle speed Control wire

Not going to make any "wise" or "powerful" claims, but...

Pink/black is ECM power. Goes to every part that needs power that's related to the ECM. If it's associated with the IAC motor, then that's probably what it used to power.

If you don't have anything nearby that needs power, like a solenoid, motor, sensor, etc., don't hook it to anything. But I'd think the IAC will still need it.

Re: Idle speed Control wire

Basically the only thing I have left to power is the need for a 12v keyed source for the new ECM and ignition box, which I am getting off of a larger gauge pink (I believe, I'm at work and not in front of the car) wire.

I will probably just terminate the wire, wrap it up, and secure it for now.
