Turn/Brake LED Conversion gives error on Digi Dash
Hey everyone, just bought some LEDs to put on all the exterior bulbs of my 88 GTA to help with electrical load.
Side markers and the outer-most taillight bulbs converted with no problems, however when I replace the front turns & rear brake/turn the 'F Lamp' & 'R Lamp' error messages display on the Digi DIC.
I already replaced the flasher to an LED friendly one hoping that would be the only mod needed... But it looks like I need to either wire in a resistor or get those LEDs that have built-in resistors...
Wouldn't this defeat the purpose of the LED low-power?

Yes but this beckons the question - Why do you need to lower the draw of these lamps?
Also, different LED manufacturers have different ideas of how LED Turn/Parking lamps should operate.
Some manufactures use separate LED's for the turn and park elements, while other manufacturers use a resistor to make the turn sigs brighter than the parks.
The former provided the best results for me.
Based on the different types of LED's, you will probably have to breadboard the circuit, then when you have a perfectly operating configuration, you can install that circuit.

Headlight Blunders By Designers #15; TOO HIGH: Pickup truck headlights are mounted too high therefore they are not aimed onto the road, they are aimed into your eyes.
