No fuse on fan?
My 92 RS has a single fan and I'm planning to reuse it with my Holley Terminator. I have the relay wiring and the big hot wire that goes directly from the battery to the relay is not fused. It's definitely factory wiring. Is there a reason for this? It seems like it should have at least an inline fuse the same way the fuel pump relay wire did. I may reuse that inline fuse with the fan unless there is some reason not to. I'm going to get power for the other wire from a key-on source and use the Holley to trigger the ground.

If it is stock, then it is fused with a fusible link. You're just not looking far enough back in the wiring to find the fusible link.
If you're certain there is no fusible link then it's not stock.

So are those links non-servicable? Meaning if it ever did blow that fuse the section of wire needs to be replaced with an inline fuse or another section of wire with fusable link? I know it's basic stuff but something that I've never had fully explained to me.

Yeah, if it fries, you chop it out and splice in a new one. Although in modern times, there now exists fuses that can handle those loads so that's an upgrade you could do if you wanted to.

I could but it's worked for 30 years so I won't fix it if it ain't broke. Thanks for the info.
