Try Noe Saldivar on FB. He's a member of a few 3rd and 4th Gen Groups.

Yup,...

I've been repairing / modifying radios here for TGO members for about 7 years now.

Feel free to send me a PM with some details / pics on your radios for additional info.

Re: factory radios

Do you do other brands of old radios? I have a mid '90's Alpine that the LCD light is out. Interested?

Re: factory radios

I have to pass Tom; the reason is that I don't KNOW I could fix the problem. If you were local and could drop it off for me to dig into,.. that's one thing. But the simple fact that sending it back-&-forth is about a $50 expense just for the shipping and I am not sure I can fix it,... your probably better off dealing with a local radio shop for work on an aftermarket radio.

MOST of my experience is with 82-97 Delco radios, but I've also done some work to the 98-02 F-Body radios as well as the 03-09 Trailblazer head units,.... 'regular' Delco as well as BOSE.

Re: factory radios

I have a 1988 Irocz with RPO codes UQ1- UQ4- UU8. All of which are for the factory Delco Bose system with the locking rear floor and kick panels. Im searching for the factory headunit that would fit in with my system. Someone chopped mine out long ago and left a gaping hole in the dash. Any help would be appreciated in finding the original headunit. I have 5 plugs and the antenna receiver on the dash side

Re: factory radios

I've got a couple BOSE head units available. Would you prefer one that's factory stock, or modified with an AUX jack ?? Does it need to look *mint* or are a couple minor defects acceptable ??

Got a couple 4th gen BOSE CD players too,.. not factory stock for a Thirdgen, but a lot of guys use them.

Re: factory radios

I've got to pass on the 80 Radio,...... I've got a few now and have done some minor work on them, but I simply do not have the parts or experience with the 70's / early 80's Delco head units to justify paying just the back-&-forth shipping expense alone. I'm just not 'well versed' enough with those radios to be confident I could fix them. Sorry - but I can't help with those units !
