Ok I just installed a steering column I picked up from the junkyard. everything is fine except that my High beams do not turn off. Did I do something wrong? Did I forget to hook up a wire? Or is it the steering column? Thanks.

 

sounds like the rod that connects the top of the steering column to the dimmer switch has come out of alignment.

switch is towards the base of the steering column inside passenger compartment, has three wires running into it yellow, light green, and tan.

I just bought my father a '91 Corsica, and the dimmer switch needed adjustment. It's near the topside of the column, and a little hard to get to. I simply dropped the column down (just the 2 big nuts there) for much better access.
