Alright guys, I have a remanufactured 2.8 liter 173 engine MPFI with performance cam. I put it in a Fiero but then I decided to put a 350 in it instead. Its a quick motor and it runs great. I know that V6 cars are not the most popular to say the least >.> <.<. However this is a remanufactured engine that was bought a little over a year ago and I just want out. it was 1300.00 and the cam and stuff on top of that. ill try to dig out the paper work but its sat long enough. 400 obo I am very flexible and Ill drive it 50 miles for free to your door. The zip is 46304 I live in northwest Indiana. Like i said 1500 miles then pulled, Runs sounded great but the v8 faster. leave any comments or questions you have ill get back to you ill have pics up tomorrow. If your looking for an alternative to replacing your v6 with a v8 this is a great deal. I obliviously don't have the harness for a bird or maro but with everyone changing there v6s to v8 they are easy to get.

Ya shipping is not a problem I have the shipping crate it came in so its easy all I will have to do is drop it at the shipping yard. I have no idea the price on shipping however what ever you can figure out is fine. I haven't had pictures up yet because of my schedule but ill finish pulling it out and cleaned up as soon as possible. Some more info on the engine. Its about 2 years old it was in the car about 9 months then pulled because a drunk came though the ditch and hit it. >.< I took him to court and got a settlement and decide since i was doing body work might as well get a better engine while I was at it. I have since sold the car and all I have left is this engine so it has sat for about a year. I have the original cam, the performance cam is for torque and you can feel the difference. I don't have the original paper work and the place a got it from cycles theirs every 2 years so I wasn't able to get it from them. I am selling it cheap because I need room and i had it payed for when the guy hit me.

If your serious about getting this motor I will help any way possible. Its a awesome deal I just really want it gone.

thats horrible that you lost your man, i am currently trying to resurect mine. i live @ 74953 I don't know how to figure shipping because I have never bought anything so big out of driving distance. Is there any guaranty that I would be getting a good engine because I have to use this car to get me back and forth between school and home which is about a 2 hr drive to and from each weekend.

Ya I was sorry to see her go. the shipping just doing a quick estimate if you wanted to pick it up at a terminal which would be like 37 miles for you. it would be like 200.00. As for warranty I cant give anything other then my word. It ran the day it came out, ran great. I cant imagine what could of happened to it in the garage. I mean it there is something out of the blue I can work with you but if runs for 30,000 and then something happens i cant help you. Its a great deal. Practically a new engine for 400. Its a used engine but its just broke in. I would say that you should get many many miles out of her. If you need a warranty when I priced these the cheapest ones i saw rebuilt where 1300-1500. Its a used engine but its just broke in. I would say that you should get many many miles out of her. I can turn her over no problem and I can hear the hissing an feel the compress push back. If there are any test you can think of that would make you feel better about getting this engine I can do them aside from putting it in a car.

Here are some pictures finally. Ya no rush anytime you want it is on the pallet ready to go. It has a new oil pan that I had forgotten about. I don't think it will fit on the Firebird though. Also the water pump on the front is different I believe.

is it an internal or external balance engine???

they change in 87 I believe.

still might want it, can get get pics of both side of the motor ears?
Taht being a fiero motor its drilled for the starter on the wrong side, id have to drill new hole on the other side, Need to see if there is enough meat.

Sorry about the long wait. i really didn't notice that it was on the wrong side. :/ the other side does not look like it could be drilled and tapped not enough space. looking at my car the y pipe looks like it would be in the way unless the fieros starter is smaller. i can jack my car up and look. let me know.

Its not the y pipe, that can be modded but the bell housing on my trans that would be the problem..... I got a stick and the slave and stuff for it, is on that side.

suck too as I need to get it going again with gas prices all nuts.

need a new power steering pump and a prop valve for the brakes.
That stuff is no big deal but I just don't trust the lower oil psi.

Though it only got lower after running a hi detergent oil [rotella] that cleaned so well I lost 20 psi of oil pressure. [from a constant 40+ to 20 or less. I get 40+ for about 3 mins on start up.]

thinking it couldn't be mains or rods, they wouldn't be that gunked up, had to be the oil pump itself had oil gunk taking up the clearence.

might end up just slapping a new hi volume on in there and see. With 220,000 miles I don't wanna do much to the engine but it still runs strong.
