SBC 355 ROLLER MOTOR ALL FORGED 550HP/475TQ

I have a SBC engine I am willing to sell if anyone is interested. I had this motor built specially for me by a local machine shop. Then I decided to change my project. I spared no expense on this motor just check the specs:

350 block bored .030, Cola Forged Steel Crank, Oliver 6" rods, JE forged pistons 10:1 compression, Milodon 7 quart oil pan, Jesel dry timing belt assembly, Fluidampr, Comp Cam 254 259 duration @ .050 with .600 lift, Comp roller lifters, Comp hardened pushrods, Crane aluminum roller rockers 1.65 ratio, Vortec heads with $2500 worth of porting and polishing with 2.02 1.60 valves, and HUGE double valve springs, Crane Cams stud girdle, Trick Flow tall aluminum valve covers.

This motor is freshly rebuilt with 0 miles. It has been test fired and sounds absolutely wicked. It doesn't come with an intake, carb, or headers, but we test fired it with a Victor Jr. intake, 780 Quick Fuel carb, and Hooker Super Comp headers. This motor makes power all the way up to 7500 rpm and gets there quick too!

We estimate 550HP/475TQ with the above metioned setup. Please let me know if your interested. I can ship truck freight, no problem. I do it every day. I have close to $7500 in this thing. I know I can't get that back out of it, so how about the first person with $4500 takes it. I will even give you a shipping discount of about 60%

i dont get if you "spared no expense" why you would put the cheapest aftermarket heads and then put 2500 in port and polish work into them, when you can buy out of the box afr's that probably outflow them and are about 1000 less than the port work alone..

That $2500 included porting, polishing, larger valves, valve job, double valve springs, and new retainers and seals. The AFR heads that would even come close to flowing what these flow are $2000. So, I just used the heads I already had and made them as powerful as possible.

Yes, this motor is now on Ebay. Thanks!

These heads are center bolt and perimeter. We had to use perimeter valve covers because of the stud girdles. It sounds like to me that you guys are just trying to disrespect me and my motor. I don't think any of you could afford to buy this engine. Please quit trying to dis my engine. If you are really interested than PM me and let me know. This engine is exactly as described and is a beast!

Those are indeed vortec heads, the 062 had a saw tooth pattern, the 906's got the hump. They do incredibly well, especially if you want torque. My very mild 383 puts 361 to the ground with over half of my rev range being over 350 ft/lbs at the wheels. I would not at all be surprised if the motor hit close to his estimates.

Wish I had some spare money.

Thanks for the comments guys. I was just hoping I could give someone a great deal on a great performance engine. It really is as described and the combo works very well. I wish I could keep it, but I have other more important agenda's on the table. Thanks for everyone's interest!

Re: SBC 355 ROLLER MOTOR ALL FORGED 550HP/475TQ

Ok, this motor is still sitting in my shop and it needs to be gone. In previous posts I have given you all the specs of this engine. It WILL produce 550 horsepower! Where else can you go and spend that kind of money and get that kind of raw power? Nowhere. Some of you will say crate motors, but I disagree. In a crate motor you don't get the huge valve lift and duration that this motor offers. When I fire this thing up in my garage, all the neighbors come over and bring their kids to see what in the world is going on! My next door neighbor even said it knocked dishes of her counter. I am just hoping that someone can put this thing to good use, because I can't. It should run easy 10 second quarter mile times! I have also reduced the price to $4000 firm. You must pick up in Oakland, KY. I have almost twice that much money invested in it. Thanks for looking!

Re: SBC 355 ROLLER MOTOR ALL FORGED 550HP/475TQ

Forgot to mention. For the $4000 I am also going to include a Victor Jr. intake, MSD pro-billet distributor with bronze gear, and a set of phillips 8.5mm spark plug wires with heat shields on them. All these extra items are brand new! Thanks for looking! Blake

Not trying to bust your *****, great setup. I am interested in the shortblock, if you'd ever care to sell just the shortblock. I have no need for the heads. Would you ship it at my expense? Just kickin the idea around. Thanks bro.

Let me think about it. I might be willing to split it up, I'm just not sure yet. Thanks.
