World Class T5, rebuilt with all NEW gears, Hurst Shifter. Nicest you can get!

I had this rebuilt T5 w/ all new gears listed as a trade/swap ad before, but am now looking to sell it outright:

Hi guys, I have a totally rebuilt world class T5 (with the desirable 0.63 overdrive) with all BRAND NEW gears. The trans had some damaged gears before I rebuilt it, so I threw everything out except the synchro hubs/sliders and shift forks. All gears are new, even the countershaft gear and input gear are new. I used a high quality master rebuild kit with all new synchros. I took great care shimming the mainshaft and countershaft to get zero lash (this is very critical -- a lot of worn T5s fail because they develop end play and the gears can walk). No expense was spared on this unit. I have put 2,000 miles on it behind a strong 13 second 327 (in the car pictured in my sig line). The transmission shifts flawlessly -- the shift action is lightning fast and nice and light. 6500+ shifts with my 327 were carried out effortlessly. I never powershifted this transmission, all shifts were done lift-throttle and fully depressing the clutch. I have a b&m short throw shifter on the trans which makes the shifts maybe 2" long (they are VERY short and fast). I have BOTH mechanical speedometer housing/gears and the VSS for this transmission.

This is the nicest WC T5 you will find. It is basically a new transmission like you'd get out of the factory.

This T5 cost me over $800 in gears and kit parts, plus $200 intially to purchase it.

$850 including the Hurst short throw shifter.

No offense but....

I seriously doubt anyone is going to buy that T5 for that price. I mean, at that price, you are getting within a few hundred dollars of a T56 swap....and well, T5's arent **** compared to T56's.

Id be interested but the price is an easy few hundred more than Id ever be willing to spend on a T5. Again, no offense, just letting you know.

If you can't afford a really nice part like this, please keep your totally unneeded comments to yourself. There are probably a lot of things you think are too expensive. This T5 is built with new parts that, alone, cost my asking price when you add it all up. Any T56 swap that you are buying for $800 is going to be a used, beat up unit. Who cares. It also won't just drop in to a T5 car, or keep a nice original T5 car all original.

I forgot to mention, this transmission is in the car still, so if someone wanted to test drive it in Springfield, VA, they would be welcome to. I would sell the trans without the hurst short throw shifter for $700.
