FS: 350 Roller shortblock, L98 heads Complete

I am selling my old motor. I believe that the original L98 block was replaced with a service 350. I will post the PN to confirm, but I cannot find an L98 cast on the block. In any event, it is a 350 roller block, for sale with the L98 cam. The heads are stock L98 cast heads, complete with springs and stamped rockers. I'd like to sell the heads and motor together, but I can separate. Please keep shipping costs in mind. This was a great motor, has around 60k on it. Dyno'd 214/312 to the wheels when it was in the IROC. Making room for my zz3 project, and I need this one gone. Asking 500 for the setup. PM me for details. Thanks

Will

It was, I am not selling the TPI. Only the heads and the shortblock. Making this more of a long block package rather thank a shortblock. Thanks

Re: FS: 350 Roller shortblock, L98 heads Complete

It is still bolted to the car, but I could have it out this weekend. The heads are off, but everything is there, minus the TPI. Let me know if you are interested, and I can yank it out on Saturday. But I would rather not pull it out until I know for sure, I have no room for it right now. Thanks

Re: FS: 350 Roller shortblock, L98 heads Complete

Will,
Thanks for your replies...

Doesn't sound like the long block is ready to go. I need to get my TA back on the road, so I'lll probably go with rebuilding the 305 (don't tell the others!!). Not my best choice, but shipping from SF will add $200 to your $500 and I'd feel better if the engine were rebuilt, add $1400, total $2100.

the 305 should cost me about $1200...

I must llisten to the math....

thanks again

Re: FS: 350 Roller shortblock, L98 heads Complete

No worries, I'd definitely rebuild this one myself.

TTT fellas, keep in mind it has been sitting, would at least need a good freshening up. Made good power, it can make good power again.

Accepting all reasonable offers on this stuff. I do not need the motor or the heads anymore. Thanks

Re: FS: 350 Roller shortblock, L98 heads Complete

TTT, will seperate the heads, L98 cam, or anything else you guys might need from the long block. Again, NO TPI related equipment is for sale here. The long block is still sealed up and the cam and all internals are in place. Thanks

Will,
I am interested by live in Cincinnati. I can probably get it shipped for cheap, but would you be willing to palletize or crate the engine and drop off to a freight terminal near the airport in So San Fran (for a reasonable additional fee of course)?

Thanks,

Re: FS: 350 Roller shortblock, L98 heads Complete

It is the longblock. Complete otherwise minus TPI and accesories of course. What are you looking for? With this you'd get the block, with all internals, pan, heads and all the valvetrain stuff. Nothing electrical.

The heads were pulled off when I was going to do heads and cam. Have a new motor now, and never put this one back together. The heads will be bolted back up for shipping, unless someone takes them seperately. Good 083 heads. Good torquey motor. Would be great for a truck.

Thanks

Re: FS: 350 Roller shortblock, L98 heads Complete

These heads are stupid heavy, I shipped a set of Aluminum L98 heads and it cost me 80 bucks. That package weighed 40 lbs. These heads weigh almost 40lbs each! So you would probably better off checking the wrecking yards for some heads bro. Thanks
