I don't really see the sense in tagging someone a momma's boy or saying you'd lose respect for someone because they were lucky enough to have someone buy something for them (not that I'm saying that is even the case here since I don't know the guy). What's to say that this kid didn't work/save since he was old enough to do so or get a slight 'nudge' from someone? Does that make him a bad person?
I grew up in a POOR household, and I don't have a ton of stuff today, but everything I have I busted my a$s for. Looking back, if you don't think I wouldn't just TAKE something if someone were to offer it to me then you are just plain crazy. Most people in their right mind would be more than happy to have people buy them $hit. If you are going to sit here and say you wouldn't then you are full of it.

Re: Getting rid of everything

i'm 19. I worked for minimum wage during the summer and a bit of last spring while i was still in high school. i put all my money into my car and its still not going. I've put about 4500 into it total, but if i did it for a couple years i could have what he has. it can be done if you land a nice job, or an apprenticeship. I cant save anything now, it costs me $16000 to go to school for 8 months, and thats in canada where school is alot cheaper than the states. I figure if i went from high school into a trade I could've gathered enough resources to buy all that. alot of it is self discipline and restraint. no wasting money on stupid **** and whatever.

Thanks 1986iroc350 but my mom didnt buy me anything. I worked my *** off for all my stuff. I worked in a factory for a while and made decent money, now I'm a Monavie distributor which is where most of my money comes from plus I know a lot of racers around here so I tend to find parts for a good deal.

I just had the msd box gone through so 100 shipped.

And once again I am NOT parting the engine out so don't bother asking
for prices of certain parts.
