i am guaging interest in my B&M 144 roots blower setup with 2 upper pullies and 2 belts.one for 5 psi and the other for 10 psi......will come with all hardware necessary.

I am possibly interested the only thing is whether or not i can use it on my set up. Will a roots set up work with a tbi 305?

 

i dont see why it wouldnt work.you would have to raise the fuel pressure i would think

 

keep in mind that you'll have to get an adapter plate to mount your throttle body on top of a supercharger, then fabricate a bracket for your throtte,tv,and cruise cables. and, you may want to upgrade to a 670 throttle body.

 

I have the adapter plate and fuel pressure regulator with the 670 cfm tbi and larger fuel pump. I just dont want to buy it and then find out that it wont work. I have been searching to see if anyone has done this yet but have not found anything.

 

well if you want i can put together a 700 sc carb for an additional 300.00...............i dont need the 700cfm since im running an 850 cfm carb now......i can let the carb, roots blower with complete(new) rebuild kit i have as a spare and both the pulleyt setups go fo 1900.00 shipped...........new this would be 3400.00............

 

I am not looking to go to a carb set up. I have been told by Rbob that the tbi will work with the supercharger so my interest in your setup has become more serious. I need to do a little more research before I go any further, I will get back to you.

what size cowl do you have. I want to know how much room i need/have for the setup?

 

i run a 3 " cowl.........with a 3" total height air cleaner assembly with 1/2" to spare for clearance but thats with a carb setup....you could run a low profile air cleaner setup if necessary...

I do have another question. I notice that you have the older style dual belt set up, Am i going to run into a problem because I have the single belt serpentine set up, as in will belt alignment be an issue?

the individual who i bought the blower from ran a 355 with under 9:1 comp, holley systemax heads and a mild cam in a 81 malibu ran 11.93 in the 1/4 mile with the 5 lb setup...............im runnin almost 10:1 with 10 psi and bigger heads and def way bigger cam.......im sure it could pull off 11s no problem b ut i havent had time to go to the track since i work alot and raise a family...............
