TPIS level5 chip

Hey guys, i have a level 5 chip from TPIS that i paid $575 for and got 1150 miles of use out of before i decided to switch setups. Jim at TPIS can re-burn these for our cars and it only costs $100. Im willing to take a loss on it just because its sitting here not doing me any good. Lets start the price at $250 shipped, Thanks fellas

Is this chip for Mass Air or Speed Density?

Re: TPIS level5 chip

wesilva, i believe it was speed density. I can tell you the car is a 1991 formula that came with a 5.0L TPI from factory if that helps!

Re: TPIS level5 chip

TPIS says the Level 5 chip is for larger displacement motors running forced induction. Did you run it on your 383? Did you buy it new from TPIS?

Re: TPIS level5 chip

yes i ran it with my 383 and yes i bought it brand new with TPIS. I have the receipt still..586 dollars to be exact is what i paid.

Twin turbo not sure by wat combo you mean but this was my setup: 383 stroker, all forged bottom end, 6" h-beam rods, cheap strikeforce aluminum heads. 2.05/1.60 valves, 10.5:1 compression, TPIS Mini ram, 58mm T.B. 30lb injectors, Comp cams xfi280 extreme fuel injection cam. All msd electronics. The chip was custom burned by Jim at TPIS with all the specs of my motor, rear-end,etc...

Re: TPIS level5 chip

That's exactly what any buyer would need to know, that chip is set up for that engine combo, 700R4 and what axle ratio?

Re: TPIS level5 chip

The tune is not set in stone on the chip...I had it reburned twice for the 1150 miles i had it, for cam swap and ring & pinion swap.
