I decided to swap in a LT1/T56 combo and ditch my old cross-fire system and converted T-5 combo. I ran out of garage space and am now using my neighbor’s garage to store stuff. I need this stuff gone. Some items are priced fairly and won’t be negotiable. Others may be negotiable. (Higher the price, potentially more flex) I won’t be on here all the time, so reply on here and drop me a PM and tell me what you want. I will try and get pictures up tonight.

I have what is left of the T5. If you need something let me know. None of the gears are any good, the case was weeping under the counter bearing so I don’t think that is good. The tail shaft is useable, the shift cover looks good, has a broken shift fork though, bell housing had the bottom cut off when I got it, I don’t think it is any good. Let me know.

:edit: Oh, and what was the OD gear ratio? I'm looking for the short one (.65:1 or something like that) if they're any good, and also for a decent 5th gear shift fork (not bent).

Seems like the front countershaft area is a common problem... I had the entire housing break up there right at the corner, had it fixed, and it still lost ATF...

 

I do still have the rebuild kit, brand new.

According to the T5 thread it has the .72 OD. It was from an 87 V8 car. I have the 5th shift fork and visibly it looked good. The broken shift fork was the 2nd one on the top cover.

I have the case, but it was weeping from the front counter bearing cap and there is some scarring on the inside of the case where the counter shaft rotated.

Well, that OD is a lot better than the .76 I have now (which is better than the other trans had with a .78) but not quite the .70 or less I'm shooting for for the gas mileage.

Let me see what I have after I go to the JY and get my quarter panel and front bumper fillers and I'll let you know. Definitely looking for the rebuild kit, however.
