I contacted B&M the current owners of "Hurst Shifters"
They said if enough people wanted a "Hurst Dual Gate 2 Shifter #2920000"
with overdrive for a 3rd gen they may start reproducing the item.
So, If you are interested please add your name and how many you would want to this thread.

I was just contacted by The Parts Place.
B&M and The Parts Place work together on their Hurst Shifter line.
They said they would need a complete Hurst Dual Gate 2 Shifter to see if they could put one together with their spare parts or maybe use someones to see if they can reproduce the parts.

2. I was asking because I do not think some one will actaully take their shifter off anytime soon,then send it to The parts place and then have them try to and recreate it anytime in the neer future.I've learned these things dont realy happen.

THEY MAY MEANING that even with their magic number they might not even make it.

 

Thre was one on ebay back in May, it was brand new NOS in box. I was not able to bid on it unfortunately, may it was someone from these boards that swiped it? It went for serious money.

 

i seen that also. i wanted it but not for what they were asking. i would definetly get one if they started to release them again.

 

I would have paid more than the 350 or 450 or whatever it went for. I need one desperately LOL

 

It is definitely an eye catching shifter, :-)



My only real complaint about it is that you have to go into neutral to get into the ratcheting side of the shifter from the left side.

They need one to see if they can put one together from their parts or use one to make the parts. When Hurst was sold this item was Discontinued no one has the molds to make one they need a complete one to try to make one or put one together.

 

Just, So everyone knows. I located two new "Hurst dual gate 2 shifters" still in the box. I'm in the process of trying to buy them. When, I get one or both. I will send Joe from The Parts Place one to see about the possibility of starting reproduction.

 

I will buy the other one if the price is right, please keep me in the loop, not gonna fork out 525 plus shipping for a used one only to find out something is wrong or missing

I see above someone else was only quoted 500, I guess my money isn't as green as his. Doesn't mattr though, too steep...if it was new then I'd think about it
