Re: tpi setup complete

Open a dispute with PayPal if it within their guidelines to do so.

Sellers have some obligations to provide a tracking number, and ship within a certain time period etc.

A little reading of their policies would be a good idea before doing so.

And if it showed up shortly after, there is a decent time period (30 days) wherein you could cancel the dispute.

So why have you not left him a negative trader rating ?

Not everyone will happen to read this thread , but anyone who considers buying from him will read that rating

Re: tpi setup complete

The last time I did that they guy hit me with negative feedback that was unjust and the moderators will not delete. I purchased a bunch of parts from a guy he left out a distributor and than wanted to charge me more money for it. I finally covered shipping and got the distributor a month later broken. He called me mean and impatient waiting a month for a part I need it not impatient.

I read the thread where the guy didn't send the distributor , and I can't understand why the Mods didn't remove the negative he left you ..... The bad rating he gave you was most certainly undeserved , , and should have been removed . He forgot to send the part , then jerked you around for a month on it , , , the bad was totally on HIM , from the way I see it .

Guess I can't blame ya for being leery of the trader rating system , if a false bad rating can't be removed ......

Re: tpi setup complete

I Think this post may discourage anyone from purchasing anything from him. Using the itrader was not fair! I even copied and posted emails from the guy and no help from the mods to delete the negative.

Re: tpi setup complete

final answer from jt today on feedback.

As we're not involved with transactions and don't get involved with transactions, we also don't edit feedback unless in certain cases such as: feedback given that violates our ToU, feedback that was not valid (no transaction occurred), both parties involved agree for change, or the person who submitted the feedback requests a change.

Re: tpi setup complete

Then that basically says, we don't stand behind iTrader, or its rating system. If there is no just way to arbitrate it, then it's worthless.

Re: Export Model Codes

The iTrader system is for members. Members can use the iTrader to help make better decisions by reviewing past transactions with members. We're not involved with transactions. We can only provide tools for members to help members make decisions when dealing with transactions with other members. This is certainly not just a ThirdGen.org stance.

It's one thing to take care of a problem member based on iTrader feedback that shows an alarming trend, which we do (and have done), and it's an entirely different matter to edit/delete/alter feedback provided between two members over a transaction. Some might see that as us altering/censoring the feedback system, which might make it "useless" to those members if they feel we're editing/deleting/altering ratings without letting the members judge for themselves from the unaltered data.

We have edited iTrader ratings, which those cases have been stated above through a copy/paste of a PM. Outside of that, I don't think it's up to us to not just play judge, but actually alter the data and not let members decide for themselves. Do you really want us to make transaction-based decisions for you via altering data to the point that some may question what is real and what was edited/altered based on a decision we made? I don't believe that is the answer, and again, we're not involved with transactions. The "we're not involved" statement means that we're not directly involved with transactions to be privy.

Again, this isn't exactly different from other (free) communities that have a (free) Classifieds section that is generally a "at your own risk" deal.
