Also comes with a T5 torque arm mount, stock torque arm, and two different styles of crossmembers - if the buyer would like them

Bump
I have purchased replacement parts for anything showing more than light wear. Transmission will be fully rebuilt by next weekend - asking price will be $735

Re: FS: World Class T5 Camaro/Firebird Transmission
unsure of miles, but I have every part here to do a complete overhaul. As-is it would be hard to shift into second (worn dogs) and might reject a fourth gear shift due to the worn syncro.
Shipping should be under $100, less if I can get a friend's employee discount.
I'd recommend having at least 3.42 gears in the rear. 2.95 first gear and .56 overdrive.

I have the trans completely stripped and waiting for a bath. Too dang hot out to do anything other than sit in front of the AC...got fried yesterday taking some friends out on the boat.
$735 is the price - rebuilt or not. Buyer pays shipping. I rebuild these for fun in my spare time and don't make any considerable money from them - I think I have $550 into parts alone.
84TransAMNY technically has first dibs, Mike is second

Ok. If you have any questions or need any info on parts or part numbers just ask. When buying used you should always check the input shaft for in/out movement. A little side to side is ok, but the in/out means that the transmission will need to be torn down and inspected. I typically find a loose input shaft means there is enough wear on the internal parts to warrant a refresh kit. Only once was I able to reshim the countershaft and input shaft.
Mike - You're first to the plate now. I will keep you updated through this thread.

thanks for the info. If I didn't have toget it shipped I could proly pick it up after it being rebuilt other wise it is a little out of my price range after all the cash I have dumped in the car in the past 6 months

Ok I will take it just let me know the total price with shipping and paypal charges. Unless you want me to mail you a check. I would need you to rebuild it. I have never rebuilt a t5. I have only done 700r4 and 200r4.

Parts are in. I'll be home from work a 9pm but I have to back in at 6am. I will probably get the countershaft in and preload with the new cluster support. The mainshaft should get done as well. I have a friend checking on his shipping cost.

Re: FS: World Class T5 Camaro/Firebird Transmission
Mike, if you still want to buy it, it is finished. I know it has been a little over a month since I've been on
I hope you found one in the mean time to keep your project moving! I had to move shop and picked up a 1998 Camaro Z28 roller (Navy Blue Metallic) to add to the mess
Transmission was finished a little over a week ago after getting the last of the parts in the mail. I bought a bolt kit for the T5 so it would have all the OEM bolts, not the mixed stuff that it came with.
Just so any other interested buyers knows, here is what went in the T5
New parts:
-1st gear
-2nd gear
-Reverse idler gear
-Reverse light switch
-All syncros
-All bearings/races
-Fork pads
-Rear bushing and seal
-Steel cluster support
Used parts:
- a set of .56 Overdrive gears
- Core Shifters/Hurst mid throw shifter (no ****)
