Gauging interest: LS1 front brake conversion
I have my original LS1 front brake setup on my car that I took off this month and have it available to sell if anyone is interested. I grabbed an extra set of spindles from the junk yard and have been making a new set up that would use all powdercoated pieces. I bought a set of tubular A-arms so these were planned to come off. This set was made by me, it is not a conversion from one of the websites.
The set that is available is my two modified spindles and the caliper brackets along with the bolts and washer shims for the abutment bracket. The spindles look beautiful, I spent hours smoothing them with a grinder and then sprayed them with engine enamel. Not trying to degrade the guys that sell the whole conversion, I just spent hours on mine to make them look like a nice smooth finished product. The caliper bracket holes I taped for 1/2" bolts as I decided not to do metric. The brackets are standard 3/8" metal brackets. All bolts are grade 8 or 10.9. I used this set-up for maybe 200 miles, so you could realistically reuse my inner and outer wheel bearings. The calipers, abutment brackets, rotor or hub does not come with this as I am reusing those for my new set-up. I can send you a set of used rotors that you could have a machine shop turn down. Let me know if anyone is interested. I can post any pic you ask for.
I am wanting $100 plus the cost of shipping and I will not go lower. Expect shipping to be close to $25. I could also have these powdercoated the same time my others will be for an additional cost, probably be an extra $10-20. Big brake upgrade has the brackets and spindles for $140.00 I believe.

Re: Gauging interest: LS1 front brake conversion
No. It is the modified spindles and caliper bracket with the associated mounting hardware only. One other clarification; the caliper bracket bolt holes in the spindle are taped for the 1/2" bolt, not the caliper bracket. The caliper bracket is not taped at all.

I still have everything. The rotors are just stock rotors. I would just give them if someone wants them to cut them down to make the hubs. This was the fist set of spindles that I made and the bolts in the spindles are not exactly 90* with the caliper bracket.

Re: Gauging interest: LS1 front brake conversion
I didn't reply because unless I misunderstood your question, I already said in the first post that these spindles are drilled and they come with the caliper brackets. In my last post I stated that the spindle holes that bolt the bracket are not exactly 90* with the caliper bracket. Some people suggest this can cause fastener failure. Best solution would be a helicoil. Though I had no issue. I'm sure the torque reading was off though. If anyone wants them send me a pm with your offer showing you want them, then I can give you whatever pic you want. I'm being honest and telling everyone up front what's wrong with them.
