SOLD! 390 SBC forged shortblock, 50 street miles since rebuild, $1,700 OBO
Selling my forged SBC 390. Going to LS style motor.
Parts list of internals:
- Eagle forged rotating assembly. Can be seen in detail here:
https://www.summitracing.com/parts/esp-b12011030 = $1,839.97
Pistons were swapped out for Diamond dished pistons.
http://raybarton.com/parts/index.php...sh-piston-1377 = $832.73
(These are only slightly higher cost than the pistons in the kit above, so I will ignore this added cost)
- ARP main stud kit:
https://www.summitracing.com/parts/arp-134-5601 = $95.56
- ARP Cap screws: (Couldn't find the PN for all 16, here is the one for 1 piston)
https://www.summitracing.com/parts/a...6026/overview/ = $18.26 * 8 = $146
- Clevit cam bearings:
https://www.summitracing.com/parts/cle-sh290s = $26.09
- Moroso oil pan kit:
https://www.summitracing.com/parts/ses-3-60-08-540 = $269.94
Machining cost me about $750 I will add it to the total @ $500.
Add it all up $1,839+$95+$146+$26+$269+$500 = $2,875. Times 60% (general rule of thumb I use when selling items) = $1,725
Cost will be $1,700 OBO
Images, please ask if you need to see any other angles. I will add them to this thread.

Cr depends on heads.
I was around 9.5:1 with my 64cc heads and MLS head gasket.

The part# on the piston shows -18cc and bore size of 4.060, if it's a 3.75" stroke the it's a 388, did you use the diamond ring kit?

Re: 390 SBC forged shortblock, 50 street miles since rebuild, $1,700 OBO
I didn't assemble the motor. I would have to ask the builder what ring kit was used.
I spent top dollar to get this motor to hold up to the boost I was going to throw at it.
I still have the F1 Procharger and 12 rib pulley I was going to run. (also for sale).
As the short block sits the cam is out of it.
I figure if anyone buys this setup it would be great for boost. Or maybe a small combustion chamber head that bump the CR back up to a NA happy zone.
I will post a "for sale" thread now for the cam so you can all see the specs and see if you would want to take that with the motor.
