10 Bolt 1LE Posi Rearend with Brakes For Sale
For sale is a 10 bolt posi 1LE out of a 1989 thirdgen with backing plates and brakes. Rearend needs to be gone through and rebuilt. Mileage is unknown and gear is believed to be 2.73 or 3:23. Will open cover for inspection for buyer. Bought to rebuild for a project a few years back that never happen. $200

Here we go again with somebody selling "1LE" parts again. So exactly how is this a 1LE rear end? The brakes look like regular PBR calipers to me, and there's nothing special about a 2.73 or 3.23 diff. Why not slap an extra WS6 tag in the subject line as well?

If it came out of a 1LE car wouldn't that make it a 1LE rear-end? Seems pretty straightforward to me

By that logic, every single part that comes off a car with the 1LE RPO can therefore be sold as a 1LE part. So you're telling me that the seat belt buckle is a 1LE part? No, its not. Educate yourself.

And this is why some people get irritated over the whole 1LE stuff. Barret Jackson mentions it and "BAM" everybody has 1LE cars, parts and such.

i no 89 came with 9 bolt and disk brakes. so if anything you got 90 to 92 . the 1le only really counts if you have the complete car as a whole to mention to sell.. no one out there would dare part one out only in extremely rare case like total loss .then again it might get rebuilt do to rarity. i have collected 3 extra differentials g92s it took me a while but there out there .in my opinion anything under 323 is not worth the time to pick up .just my 2 cents
