Wanted TH-400, or TH-350

Hi, Im in need of a transmission for my Pro Street T/A
I have a few trans around but they all need rebuilds at this time and my guy that usually does them is out of commission and I havent had any luck finding anyone who can do one for the cash I have on hand, (I had surgery in feb so im kinda strapped for cash )
So im looking for a usuable TH-400 or possibly a TH-350 (the car had a 400 and I have all the parts to put one back in) but I can make a 350 work if thats all I can find ..
I have $300.00 to spend and can arrange pick up if within 100mi of Janesville Wi
I just need a stock trans no converter (I have some) that will bolt in with a minimum of hassle,
a kitted one would be nice but I just need to get this on the road
let me know what you have and Thanks ! BBCAM.

Im thinking that would be a little more work than putting a standard 400/350 in .. if it's longer than a 700r4 I may not have enough room (my car is framed and tubbed) and the crossmember is set for a standard length (short 400 case) thanks though...

Iv'e got a turbo 350 that was in my fiance's olds. It's got less than 500 miles on it after it was rebuilt. you'd just need a tailshaft housing for it. the one on it now doesn't have a mounting spot for your torque arm.

If it's out of an OLDS with an OLDS engine the bolt patter won't work.

It's not an olds trans. I did a chevy conversion on the car about 2 years ago.

Re: Wanted TH-400, or TH-350

I have one I built a couple years ago when I was foot brakeing. It has a trasgo shift kit in it, and high gear has an extra disc and plate in it. I ran it behind a 600 hp sbc in a 3000 lb bird. In D it shifts at 5200/5300 or can be manual shifted. It'll go in any gear at any speed when shifted manually. But I need 350.00 for it. Just down 55 to Springfield, ILL. Live about 1 1/5 miles off of the interstate. E-mail me in interested. Charles.
