V6 front springs, someone please help.
Well coil overs suck and the support for getting them setup to NOT destroy stuff is non existant so this garbage is coming out and I really need a set of V6 springs if anybody has some they'll sell me cheap. I also need a RH passenger side strut mount. Thanks in advance guys.

I have got a new set of Bell Tech's that will lower the car about an inch....unless your suspension was sacked in the first place.
$75 plus shipping.

What spring rate are they? I'm wanting to keep a nice soft spring up front so my car will continue to launch like it does but do away with the strut mount destroying coil overs.

How long can you afford to wait ???
I'm in the middle of a V6 to V8 Conversion and the springs will be coming out VERY soon. My guess is within the next week. The are factory stock V6 Berlinetta springs. I'd ask $30 + shipping for the pair.

They are supposed to be the stock rate but just lower. But if they are the stock rate and new, I imagine they will be stiffer than a stock V6 spring with miles...you know what I mean?

factory stock V6 Berlinetta springs
= Softest Spring rate in any Third Gen Camaro.
I'll see about getting the code off the Berlinetta springs As soon as I get a chance,... I might be able to get my hands on a strut mounts too.

Strut mount is found, I picked one up in decent shape at a junkyard. Keep me posted on the front springs I still need these.

I havn't forgotten about you....... I could not see the code tag on the springs when I was with the car or I would have posted it for Ya'. It's taken more time than expected due to some crappy weather and the flatbed loosing a clutch.
On Wednesday I re-installed the rear end so the car is on the ground and rolling again. The engine completely disconnected & is ready to get pulled out. As soon as that's done I can work on the front end.
I'll Keep you posted here since your not accepting PM's.

Re: V6 front springs, someone please help.
Probably selling them off and getting spring perches put in my K member. The coilovers would probably work fine with PA Racings strut mounts because they're thicker and have a heims joint for the spring cap to rest on. If you're unfamiliar with the issues on these coilovers I'll give you a quick rundown, they have a collar, the spring, a spring cap, and a short bushing; the bushing rests on the strut mount and the strut mount can't take the force from the weight of the car. You need tougher strut mounts to handle this force; I'm just wanting to get the simplicity of my stock setup back, I don't really need all the adjustability.

Re: V6 front springs, someone please help.
I was thinkinking about running stock coils w/ coil overs to increase stiffness and have adjustabilty from track to road. think I would still need to upgrade strut mounts? I'm wanting to do this so I don't lose stock height. If I just increase spring stiffness it'll raise the car.
What do you want for them?

Re: V6 front springs, someone please help.
I don't think that would be a good plan really, I'm not sure how you would calculate the resistance added by the coilovers. If you want them however I'll get you a price once I get them off and get my K member sorted out (if I can't get spring perches put on the new K member it's all getting sold together). Any news on some V6 springs? I'm eagerly wanting to get this thing out before the snow really hits.

Re: V6 front springs, someone please help.
Under normal circumstances - they would be out already. I was forced to work with someone else's schedule and that cost me a few days, then my buddies flatbed died, then the holiday,..........
Right now this car is on all 4 wheels with the V6 that's been ready to get pulled for about 2 weeks. I was waiting to get the engine pulled so I could sit the V8 in the bay to swap the springs. I'll quit waiting for the swap and will change the springs first instead. ( The stripped V6 should keep enough weight on the front end to allow for the spring swap. )
I'll rent the spring compressor and post an Update soon !

I was ble to pick up a set of 1"-1.5" V8 lowering springs for the front (hoping they'll sit about stock height with a V6 sitting on them). Thanks for the info though.
