Re: Anyone Know Where I Can Get a Cheap Posi???

I got a rebuilt GM govloc off ebay for my 28 spline $185.00. You'll need a 26 spline (i think) and cheap definately equals ebay. I have had lots of bad experiences with ebay tho. My posi worked out but my brother bought one for his truck and it was junk. Look for lots of pictures and good feedback and good luck! Search (7.5 26 spline posi)

just curious... hows that 400 run? im buildin a 406 for my '92. just wonderin.

Re: Anyone Know Where I Can Get a Cheap Posi???

well i have only run it 2 times because i got my licence taken away but i raced a 2001 mustang gt with completely blown header gaskets and still beat him from 0-120 so it's runnin pretty good but i really want that posi to set it off right. im gunna be boring it out to a 406 eventually but money is tight at the moment...thanks for the reply.

Re: Anyone Know Where I Can Get a Cheap Posi???

no problem... somethin you might want 2 think about, and i know money is tight but with that 400 its not sayin too much to say you might blow that 7.5 up real royally. a gm 12 bolt or a ford 9" might really be somtin to save for. It wouldnt be as bad if it was the 7.625 like mine with the 28 spline axles but those 26 spline 7.5's are pretty wimpy.

just somtin to think about, maybe you dont want to spend money on anything for the 7.5 if its gonna get torn up. you'll be money ahead to do it right the first time. just my

Re: Anyone Know Where I Can Get a Cheap Posi???

yea a ford 9" will fit however i think you have to get a special one that has a place to hook up your torque arm. im not sure if you can order them from richmond (which would probably be the best... and most expensive) or somewhere like moser engineering. it would be something to look into. if not i think you can somehow convert to a 4 link or somtin but thattl probably run u a pretty good chunk of change.

Re: Anyone Know Where I Can Get a Cheap Posi???

hey you can always get a locker its like a posi but normaly cheaper sence if u take a corner slow it makes noise unlocking but its full posi all the time till you go do a corner then it lets one wheel spin slower
