Looking for an Aluminum front bumper beam from Early 80's Camaros. Absorbing Egg Crate not required, do need the bumper to be undamaged and straight though. Will take more than one if you have 'em.

I have an aluminum front impact bar from a firebird that is in very good condition. I believe the only difference between the Camaro and Firebird ones is in the "egg crate" portion and the bar itself is the same. is the difference only in the egg crate? I have a firebird one as well from an 84.

My 84 Camaro aluminum bumper came nowhere near close to fitting on my 87 GTA. The mounts couldn't line up.

 

All impact bars are the same, if the mounts didn't line up either the bar or the car were damaged.

 

The GTA had NO damage & the 84 only has the very top corner on 1 side tipped in.

I unbolted the 82 one myself, the chassis wasn't twisted in any way,. No twisting or tweaking to get the bolts out or bar off. So I know it fit correctly.

Despite whatever you say, I know that my 2 DID NOT LINE UP. Had they come even close, the aluminum one would be on my GTA right now.

I lined them up in March 09, but I wish I had taken a pic of them together now. All I have is the pic of the nose off.

There had to have been something wrong with something. GM never changed the front impact bar mounts so all 82-92 bars are completely interchangeable.
