Have a complete all stock LT1 motor out of a 93Z28 with approx 89K miles on it just sitting on an engine stand. $500 and it's yours. Just drive here and load it up! PM me if interested.

Re: A complete engine, as big as possible.

you need to do more research before you go out and buy an engine, otherwise you're going to get in over your head and have no idea how to get it running. The LT1 would physically swap in without too much trouble, but it would take somewhat extensive wiring work that it doesn't sound like you're ready for. Make reading the Engine Swap forum your new hobby and learn as much as you can to make an educated decision on which engine you want to install.

I have been reading a ton on the swap last night and today...im going to continue doing that for awhile. It isnt that big of a deal, because i know a guy who is going to help with a lot of the swap. He is very knowledgeable with engines so im not two worried.

Re: A complete engine, as big as possible.

that's good that you've been reading up on it. I did an LT1 swap and I'm glad it wasn't my first swap. I'm an engineer and all the wiring was still a pain in the *** to figure out. My first swap was a 350 tpi and I had a complete running 3rd gen parts car to swap everything over from. Learning from a complete running car and just focusing on disassembly and reassembly made the learning curve a lot easier.

And in the end, remember that you have to be able to rely on yourself to get it done. Engine swaps of this kind can be a lot of work and someone might say they'll help, but that doesn't mean they're going to stick it out and put in all of the hours required to do the whole job.

yes, i realize it would be a ton of work to do, but i think if i get educated enough and figure out prices i will probably do it. im not completely certain that im going to do it, but i would like to.

as far as that 305 trade i dont think that will work out since you are a good distance away from here
