Hello everyone,

Needing a "new" egr solenoid valve for my 89 Transam GTA, 5.7ltr. This is a discontinued part, but Standard Motor Products has one with a p/n of VS19. The only thing is, there is not one to be found on the internet. I've replaced all new sensors, relays on my car, that's why I'm expressing new. I'm just waiting for this last electrical part and hopeing one of you out there can help me out. This solenoid valve comes assembled on a 2 hole mounting bracket bent at a odd angle. It shares the mounting with the 12v. coil bracket.

 

ive got one from my 87. was on a 5.7 with tpi. worked when i pulled it. offer me on it if you want it

i have some solenoids around if anyone is looking then send me a pic of the exact style one you need and ill look around here i should have at least one of each style gm was using these years and such

any luck finding this solenoid? I am looking for one also but for a '89 305 and I was able to get a new one from standard VS18 but the harness and hose connections are all wrong! If you have any luck please get back to me... Thanks

hey i have a 87 5.7 tpi with a bad egr solenoid if you still have one i am interested i am in sacramento CA so i am not sure if it would be worth the price and to ship and all they may have some at the local wreaking yards let me know thanks

i too looking for egr solenoid for my 350 TPI TA GTA. im in texas and i believe is the same as djmarch has. if you are in DFW area plase give me a call ill come and pick it up.

 

hey i got a rebuilt one from 1 800 smog help you have to send in your old one for a core they are not cheap the only other thing to do is find one at a wreaking yard or from someone on here hope this helps you
