i need a drive shaft for a 1984 firebird with a 305 v8 engine. I read that this model come with 4 different drive shafts and i need one for this car but it is also a low performance engine i dont know if that makes any difference. I measured and i think i need one that is about 51 3/4 inchs long

About 48" from U-Joint to the end of the tranny Yolk. This same driveshaft will fit any 83-02 Camaro with 4 speedo auto, 5 speed stick or 6 speed stick. It will NOT fit 3 speed auto tranny Thirdgens.

It's exactly the same as the original shaft in my 84 Berlinetta. If your car has a 700R4 tranny - this driveshaft will fit.

 

Ya I have a 3 speed tranny. Would you know by any chance how long a drive shaft would have to be for a 3 speed auto?
