WTB: Stock L98 cam or stock lt1 cam
I am wanting a stock L98 cam or a stock LT1 cam. IF a LT1 it must be a cam from a camaro, trans am, or vette. I dont want one from a roadmaster/caprice etc. I bought a replacement tpi 305 out of a 88 GTA that had and auto. My car is a 5speed. I didnt know that automatics came with a "peanut" cam and the 5speeds with the L98 cam..

1988-89 305 and 350 TPI engines used the same cam(part number 10066049) The "peanut" cam you are referring to,which is the roller version of the 1986 TPI engine cam(part number 14094097), IS the cam that was used in the 1987 305 TPI engines mated to an auto trans. The 1987 350 TPI engines and the 305 TPI w/5-speed used the same cam(part number 14093643). All 1990-92 TPI engines used the same cam(part number 10111773)
