TPI motor needed
Hey guys looking for a complete 350 or 305 TPI engine. Have looked here in the local area and nothing has been available. I bought this car new in late 1986 and was forced to sell her in 1992 (Bad Divorce) the car has changed owners 3 or 4 times. Finally I searched the car down to California and bought it back in 2011 with 65,239 k Original miles. She was still in pretty good shape. Spent every dollar I had to get her back and transported here to Texas.
She has been in the garage since July 2011 till last month when she went to a friends shop to be gone through, then to the paint shop. Well the car got left outside over the weekend and someone else decided that they needed the car more than me.
Long Story short car was recovered and hood, motor and chin spoiler and door panels, dash cap were missing. I cant see just parting it out.
But cant afford to drop 1500 to replace it either.
Have been fighting cancer the last few years and seems my cash flow has a away going to doctors and pharmacies. But I can pay an honest price for a decent engine. If anyone out there has a decent engine they are looking to part with give me a shout.
Oh and insurance companies suck the car was recovered with the hide a key that someone other than myself put on the car in the ignition, """Claim denied""". They did pay for the tow and storage yard though how white of them.
Thanks guys and long live the 3rd Gen.

Hey Jason, thanks man I thought of you first but so far out there. The freight would kill me bud. Plus the engine is a bit more than I could swing. You have done a lot for me man already replacing some of the parts. For now just about in the clear on the cancer hope it stays that way with papaw being sick. Thanks buddy

Hey Mark, yeah I already found that one and called the place last week to get a little info on the engine. The guy said it had apx 155K on it and they want $1200.00 I asked again if he was sure on the price and he confirmed it was $1200.

Re: TPI motor needed
good grief! that's insane
Don't get me started of salvage yards in DFW. I stopped even trying to find things for a good price. Ebay is easier, quicker, and cheaper
(but not for shipping engines)

Yeah, I have managed to find a few parts cars down in Waco to help me along. That and my buddy Jason oramac91. This guy has lost his mind to think anyone would buy that engine for $1200. Please Jason has a 383 stoker for 1200 LOL.

Have you considered going to an LT1? I have a complete LT1 from a 95 Roadmaster that is is very good shape. It is yours for $300. It is complete from intake to oil pan including all accessories, wiring harness, computer, flywheel, starter, and MAF. I am in austin. Let me know if you would be interested.
I pulled one head and the oil pan to inspect. The cylinder walls still show cross hatching and the main bearing are in great shape.
