LG4 to LB9

just bought an 84' Berlinetta, the LG4 is getting very tired, i am planning a swap for the first part of June, i have a complete LB9 that was in my 85 Iroc-Z that i totaled. My question is, what needs to be change to make this swap work?

thanks

Transmission: 4L80E/4L80E
Axle/Gears: 12B-3.73/9"-3.89
ECM, harness, sensors, throttle cables, in-tank fuel pump and associated relays.

Basically, if it attaches to or feeds the engine, and it looks different than the LG4 stuff, change it.

There's a guy nsamed Tim Burgess that has made this swap a reality in his 84 Berlinetta. He's real cool and I'm sure he would take a little time to proivide you with some details about that exact swap.

Enjoy your *New* Berlinetta !

I did the swap as well.
went from this,

To this,

Now I am putting this puppy in my car,

If you have everything from your old car, then the swap should be pretty easy, I had to scavenge through junkyards, spend hours at the dealer, and many hours on the net, gathering info and parts for the swap.
John Millican helped me out a great deal, as well as many members on this board and www.sethirdgen.org

It seems funny seeing a face to what was once only a screen name.

The 305 was the only V8 offered in 82. There were suposidly 50 350 sold in 86 and 87 was the first year that there was a normal production of them.

The supposed 86 350 F-Bodies (all were IROCs, If Im not mistaken) I dont think were even EPA certified. I have yet to talk to anyone who has actually seen one of these in real life too. Most of them would have been destroyed like the 83 Vettes.

And there was no other V8s other than the 305 offered from the factory from 82-86, so if someone tells you otherwise hes lying.

When I was shopping for my car there was a dealer that claimed to have an 86 IROC with a 350. I was dubious, but he was adamint. But then again, he was also telling me that it was the same 320bhp motor that was fitted in the Corvettes! Don't think so. I never even bothered going to look at it.
