Big block in a Fourth Gen

hey i know this is a 3rd gen board, but i need all the info i can get on putting a big block in a 4th gen camaro. I have a 427 with a 2 speed trans, however i am probably going to get a 3speed when i drop it in. my car is a 94 v6 camaro with 29k miles on it. the engine is putting out 700+ hp. Please post as much as info as you guys can, youd be helping me a great deal. and ill keep you posted.

I'm no expert but I'm gonna say if would be a huge PITA. Mostly because half of the freakin' engine is under the dash in a 4th gen. Now if this is a drag car ( I'm guessing yes with 700hp ) you have a little more flexibility in installing it.

I bought my my 3.4 from someone who did the swap. The car is a 94 camaro now w/a 454. I still have his e-mail address. let me know if you want it. He's located around the Chicago area if interested.

edit: Like I tell all the others getting rid of their 3.4s in the 4th gen cars, let the folks know in the V6 section for the mod/hop-up in power.

I know this kid who built a 383 to put in his fourth gen V6 and he ended up not being able to do it because the distributor wont fit back there thats why fourth gens use distributorless ignitions ie optispark

Actually, I have a Hot Rod article from November of 1998 that features two 4th gens with big blocks in them. I can scan the articles if need be.
