Pulling a motor....

Guys-

I'm attempting my first motor swap and have one (so far) stupid question: How do I attach a cherry-picker to an ex-TPI motor? I've seen attachments that bolt to an intake manifold for a carb, but alls I got is a TPI lower manifold to work with.

I know you guys have done this hundreds of times, please enlighten me!

Thanks-

I typically put longer Grade 8 bolts in an intake mount bolt location, or if I can get to the back of the head on the passenger side, run the chain from the ends of the heads diagonally across the engine.

If you've got a tilt sling (look into it if you don't), then picking up an intake bolt at each corner works pretty good.

yes, definatly get a load leveler. Makes things much easier. I would have gladly paid 5x the cost for my load leveler. You can tilt the engine any way you want to and it makes getting out the engine (and possiby transmission) much less of a hasle.
