motor mounts?

hey guys im just wondering if i need to buy anything else for my project i dont want my everydayer to be up on block for too long

so here the question

im buying a 350 out of an 69 elcamino (carb) and im putting it into my 1990 v6 3.1 firebird my im wondering if all the motor mounts will bolt right up from the 350 to my v6 ones

cause if not i have a parts car in my back yard that i can take anything off its a 305 camaro if the above does not work could i use the 305 ones

thanks

Well to put the 350 into a car originally equipped witha 3.1 will keep you up on blocks longer than if you put the 350 into the old Camaro.

Anyway, here is what you will need from the camaro

Transmission, radiator, motor mounts (both on frame and engine), wiring harness, computer, Fuel tank and lines (unless using TPI)

Hope this helps

How hard is it to swap K-Members from the 305 parts car onto the 3.1 car?
If you keep the 350 carbed, it will be less headaches and very little wiring involved.

My friend is going to do the same swap on his 92 3.1 Firebird, and we were contemplating just swapping K-members from the 305 car,

Hey Zepher, off topic, but what are the specs of the cam you're running? I downloaded one of your movies and it sounds awesome.

That cam was the Crane Cams Powermax 2050.
I think the specs are .480/.454 284/272 advertised.

Well, he didn't state whether or not he was going to use Fuel injection or carb. I assumed he was going to use a carb and if that is the case, the 3.1 firebird's high pressure fuel system would have to go. I could be wrong though.

You don't need to change tanks, just mod the pickup or change the intank sender completely.

Okay...

Either way the same amount of work will be required IMO. Tank needs to come out and go back in.

I went with an inline pump on my setup so I wouldn't have to pull my tank, that's one procedure I hate doing. Not hard, just time consuming.

In the above pic, I ran high pressure fuel line from the tank to the pump, from the pump to the filter, and then from the filter to the hard lines on the car. I used one fuel line clamp on lines with flares and double clamped where there were no flares.

I'll see about getting better pics in the next few days.
