I need all your opinions
alright y'all. I'm an owner of a Cross-fire Injection 305 who wants to know the cheepest way to get my hands on a 350 TPI and squeeze the most power out of this TPI. I've had the car four about 2 months now and have a very limited cash pool right now. I don't mind the 305 but when your running with a group of 350 LT1's and 350 TPI Camaros and Firebirds...getting left behind gets old fast.
I wanna know if it would be worth it to buy a used 350 TPI from somewhere...junker yard or a buddy and buy the parts and build it up over the winter...to my specs...or try and get my hands on a newer 350...and drop it in and go without modding it. Personally I feel the junker turned road king is the way to go...I'd just like more opinions on the best route to go with this. I figured this would be the best place to ask

Cheapest way to get a TPI 350 is from a car wrecker. I got a whole 350 for $600 (Canadian).
As for power, start with getting the heads done (bigger valves, cleaned up ports)
Next, I would do the exhaust... some headers of at least 1 5/8", preferably 1 3/4" and a performance exhaust like a Flowmaster

I was also thinking about just doing up my 305. Converting from Crossfire to TPI. rebuilding the motor to a spec that I can run high 12's with...I already have headers and a Rhino exhaust system....don't know if you guys have heard of that brand before.
Any advice if I was to go that route?

but if I do go to carb I have to rip out all that EFI junk and re-do my fuel system...that sounds like a whole lot of expensive work that I don't have the cash for...That sounds like a project for down the road.
Any advice for how to get the most out of a 305 Cross-Fire set up?

um... you are gonna hafta redo the fuel system for TPI too. CFI is a throttlebody injection system and pumps fuel ot like 12 psi or so. TPI is waayyyyyyyy higher.
You can get the whole TPI system from thirdgenresource for under $500
