400sbc is it for me?
I came across a 400sb for $400 what all do you need to do thats different then a 350 i know you have to drill steam holes in the cylinder heads what else do you need i have edelbrock performer rpm heads 70cc would that be good for a 400? please help thanks

im assuming thats a seperate question....
everything else will work fine and bolt up... slight exceptions that may or may not effect you:
1. the stroke is large, so if you plan on using a cast oil pan, it probly wont fit. check for clearance on any non stock 400 pans.
2 the dipstick is on the drivers side... so you will need a oil pan with it on that side
3 as you mentioned, the heads need steam holes.....
4 because its externally balanced, you need a 400 hormonic balencer that has the counter weight in it. you also need a 400 flywheel or flexplate. they have the proper counterweight on them.
i think thats about it. everything else will bolt up, and the external demensions are identical to any other SBC.
