Sounds like you used the wrong clamshell brackets on the motor. You used the truck ones instead of your car ones. Should be an easy fix.

you mean the mount anchors or the brackets that hold the anchors. the anchors are for a v-8 camaro. If I need the brackets what is the part number

I mean the piece that bolts to the block, as opposed to the piece that sits on the frame

Blocks are all the same

Any "car sbc" mounts may work, but don't take any chances. Just find a set from a Firebird or Camaro that had a V8 in it.

Get the right ones, then you won't have this problem any more. Get some other ones, who knows?

6-cylinder ones are different.

Go to the dealer if you have to.
