Here is what I did to my 350HO:
XE274 cam and lifter kit
Demon 650 Carb
Super Victor for vortecs intake
Had my vortecs ported and polished, shaved to 57.5cc and put on the Fel Pro .015 shim gaskets (10.06:1 compression)
KMotion valve springs
Pinned studs

So far I have managed traction impaired 12.6's at high 108's.

Definately a Speed Demon 650 Mechanical secondary carb, a -6AN Barry grant fuel bar and probably a performer RPM Air gap would be a good start .

Those vortec heads will love a RPM Air-gap and a 750 cfm carb.

Depends on what you want for mileage. I wouldn't go with a victor, at all. Not with a 350. Maybe if you had a built 400.

But i would defiantly reccomend the RPM air-gap part # 7516. and a 750cfm carb. you'll see probably 20hp more. easy.

What do you have against victor intakes?

the victor seems alittle big for the application, the rpm air gap might even be a hair too big, but with a big carb it will make good power, sacrificing mileage.

he will lose a grip of low end torque by going with the victor.

I agree. But:
A. The majority of people run stall converters with stall speeds above the major loss of torque.
B. Unless he plans on running drag radials on the street, his car will never hookup, so why multiply the problem by adding more low end torque?
C. Single plane intakes have better air/fuel distribution characteristics if he ever decides to try nitrous or a centrifigal supercharger.

With my super victor and 10:1 with a 3000 converter, i can power brake in 2nd gear going 30 mph. Just come against the converter and hit it. I have also 1.88 60 footed with tire spin on radials. That is plenty of streetable torque for me.
