cause we have had it professionally timed and tuned and it still does it and we can't figure it out so we thought what the heck maybe its the old pump in the tank.

A real professional would have put a fuel pressure gage on it and checked it under the conditions when you are experiencing the problem.
After you verify the pump can't suck hard enough, then you can drop the tank and remove the non-functioning in-tank electric. Or, you can hook the electric up and drop the pressure to the mechanical with a 3-port regulator - assuming the in-tank works.

funny thing is that on saturday night it never had asingle problem and then as I am coming home the next morning my car starts to cut out and then eventually starves for gas and dies. But you stop it and then it fires right back up and runs for another few minutes and does it again.

how do I fix this problem. the crankcase vent on the passenger side valve cover is supposed to suck air into the engine right. Well mine blows air out and I don't know how to fix it. if anyone does please tell me
it sounds like you have two different problems:
1. you fuel problem sounds like a starvation issue, check your filter for trash, if it's ok then it may be the screen on the intake in your gas tank is blocked up
2. the vents on the valve covers are supposed to relieve engine air that has built up in the crankcase, they don't suck air in. most cars have systems on the called PCV valves that allow the carb. to suck that engine air back into it and reuse it. if the engine is blowing too much air you may have a problem with the rings in your motor, what you are getting is called "blowby" and too much is not a good sign.

I was told if I cut the power to the electric pump that it wouldn't affect my car. Well we have put a new mechanical fuel pump on the my 350 with a new intake and carb both edelbrock.we have replaced the cap, rotor ,wires, plugs, coil, and the the wiring harness on my hei distributor.it doesn't cut out in stop and go traffic its only when I am on the highway and only after about 8-9 minutes but until then it runs great. It is really starting to confuse me. But after it dies it will start right back up and go for another few minutes and does it again.
