Finally got the 350 in!
Hi all,
I haven't posted much here but I have been lurking in the shadows reading posts and learning as much as possible. After alot of research, time, and cash I can finally say my Trans Am has a 350 in it! Thanks to all here who have posted and answered messages to better the rest of us trying to grasp an understanding of what makes a third gen. tick. Attached is a pic of what was done today with the help of a few friends. I'll post again when everything is finished and I get to finally drive my baby with the 350. Enjoy!~
LONG LIVE THE THIRD GEN.:hail:

I'm just swapping the TPI 305 out for a 'vette 350. The 'vette motor is rebuilt and has a little work done to it. ZZ4 cam, SLP headers and siamesed intake runners, and a ported and polished plenum. Nothing crazy but hoping for reliability and some "fun power".

Sweet your setup is very similar to mine. I know how it is to say you now have a 350 in your car
I ditched my 305 but sometimes I forget that I swapped out the 305. That's until I press the gas
Congrats and enjoy the 305.

Well, things are coming together. The headers are a real PITA and the y-pipe didn't come anywhere close to fitting so I had to cut it off. Anything that attached to the exhaust or intake had to be trimmed or modified. It's Friday night and I was hoping to have enough together tonight to spin the motor for oil pressure. Instead I still have a good bit of work to do. I'm sitting here drinking a Crown and Coke and hoping tomorrow things work out for the best. This better be a dramatic improvement and hopefully everything wen't together right on the rebuild. Enjoy the attached picture and keep your fingers crossed for me.
Thanks, Martin
