7 qt oil pan

7 qt oil pan

I want to put a 7 qt oil pan on my car .I have hooker super comp headers so the crossover tube is not a problem and a mini starter.so here is my question!! will just any 7 qt oil pan fit or do I need a special one for this body style(86 Z28)? does anybody have a part #.thank you for your time

Why do you feel the need for a 7qt pan? The stock 5qt pan is probably perfectly fine for what you have.

But to answer the question, yes, I'm pretty sure you do need a chassis-specific part for it to work.

I am adding a oil cooled centrifical blower an would like the extra oil for that purpose

If your block is older with the dipstick on the drivers side, Summit carries a 7qt. pan that I used on mine, think it was $79.99 back then and I dont have a catalog in front of me for a part # Nothing special, just a 7qt. pan with the bottom sump kicked out. It makes getting at the filter fun though

canton racing has a 6qt pan for thirdgen f-bodys

part #15-246 and #15-246t one is for pre 86 and the othe is for 86 and later I for get witch is for what price is $425.00
