what to do about engine?

I have an 86 firebird with a 350 and about $6000 worth of new parts. Just recently i had a new edlebroke air gap intake put on. Anyway driving to work yesterday my car shut off outta nowhere, and i couldnt even get the crank to turn after that (you see where this is goin?) I didnt have my cell phone so i had to puch my car home on the shoulder of route nine, the busiest highway in my area. Got it home checked it out, the oil dipstick said that the oil was full. I had it towed to a shop right by my house today and just got a call that the engine siezed up. This came to a real surpirse to me since i just had the oil changed a month before and never saw ANY leaks under the car when it was parked overnight. So now i need some advice as to what to do with the car. The body and interior are perfect, its a very clean car. Im still in school and work only part time so it would take me awhile to save up enough money to drop a new engine into the car. Any Advice? P.S. if anyone would be interested in buying the car i live in the monmouth county region of New Jersey.

Did you build the engine yourself or did someone else build it?

If you built it yourself chances are you messed something up. If a shop did it for you I would be cashing in on the warrenty and raising some hell.

the engine was never rebuilt. Its not the origanal engine tho becuz the numbers on the block dont match the VIN number on the dash board. So it might have been rebuilt with another block off another car, but i personally never had it rebuilt. Lookin at the car today, the oil was full which leaves me to believe i lost oil pressure somehwhere. Probally at the pump but its too late to replace that now. IM just gonna try to sell the body and interior for as much as i can get for it and buy something else.

you may not need a whole new engine, you might be able to bore it out and rebuild it. i always look at the fact when you buy another used car youre starting over finding someone elses problems.

why does the shop say it is seized? did they try to turn it with a socket on the crank bolt? if yes, did they try with the belt off?
