LS1/T56 Gas Mileage.....
LS1/T56 Gas Mileage.....
Just thought i would show some people on these boards that are convinced an LS1/T56 combo can't pull 30+ mpg.........
Here is a picture showing after a fill-up
358.2 Miles
10.601 gallons of gas
------------
33.7892 Miles Per Gallon

No one said it couldn't, Everyone said it couldn't after being heavily modded. So you got a LS1/t-56 on 30mpg for a trip on the highway....Want a cookie?

i dont understand this huge argument with the ls1. People like dont understand that its just a better engine period. It gets 25+ mpg modded, it will run 11's on a daily driver with just cam and bolt on's. Its easier to work on and its lighter. They arent that much money(can be found for about 3500 with tranny). I say you guys should just take a look at ls1tech.com. If your not runnning low 12's high 11's your SLOW. Now find me a engine that can run 11's, get 25+ gas milage and is a daily driver for even under 5000. I've seen 700 hp ls1's still getting 28 mpg.

FLYNLOW92rs,
That is cool!! So how is everything running??
Wait wait what is that....Oh I hear people changing stories! lol
My project is going good so we will see what a modded setup gets with 4.10s out back so don't worry Pasky.
The only problem I have now is that my buddy broke his leg (dirt bike) and I might be a little short on help.

That is a very good question! I have been around for a while but took 3 years off and went to a 93 Stealth TT. When I came back my logon still worked but my post count was screwed and started back at 0. I think it happened when they updated to the new format. I had ALOT of posts in the past and hung out with a few people that I don't even see on the boards any more. It is not like I don't have anything to say. lol Maybe the post count is why some people don't take my input with much thought? Hell I know these car inside out and have helped rebuild about 6 of them from the ground up. The LS1 swap is a little bit differnt then those projects.
