Sweet setup. Is that going to fit under your stock hood or have you already worked that out?

That's fine if all you have is a sniffer.
But, in California they have this nasty habit of opening the hood.

Looks GREAT!!! Excellent choice of heads. What size are those AFR's? Are you going run a mild tune to pass emissions?
What Demon carb did you go with? I'm at a toss up between a holley DP and a speed demon and I'm wondering why you went with a Demon over a Holley?
Good luck with the engine!! Track times....

well smog shouldnt be a problem, my ex's father knows how to pass people and has been doing it to his friends so....well im sure you get the point
as far as the cam goes I'm running a Lunati 07103, 295 duration and 245 @ .050 with .534 lift but im got 1.6 RR so around .560 The AFR heads are 195cc and i won a 850cfm Demon carb for only $270. I just went with Demon because of the recommendation by the people i talk to and also like the way they look!!
Tonight i put just about all the parts on the engine except for carb which im still waiting to get and the oil pan (i got the oil pan today but summit sent me the wrong one
) 2morrow or Friday ill post up some pics of where im at right now

here are a couple more pics of some more stuff added on. Im still waiting for my Moroso oil pan and demon carb. Also im probably gonig to get some little chrome accessories to shine it up some. I was going to paint the pulleys the high temp aluminum color but thought the gloss black would break it up some. Once the other items come in though i will take another pic of it "complete" before i put it in my beast.

five7kid i understand where your coming from and know that TGO doesnt endorse such an approach. I mean if all else fails, my father and i can turn it into a drag/show car and keep it at home. But till then this baby is going to be my weekend warrior.
yeah the hood is kinda big and takes a little time to get used to it but now i got the hang of it. I think it makes the 3rd gens look awesome though! It's only a 4 3/4" cowl.
As for my tranny its a 700r4 and has been professionally rebuilt about 6 months ago with high performance parts and was told to stand 600hp/600tq with no problem. I will also be putting in a TCI 3500 L/U converter once the motor is in.
The rear is still the stock 10 bolt GM posi with 3.73. This is the only thing thats going to worry me for holding that power

Nice... very nice
Daddy33 this may be a little off topic but i noticed by your pic the engine bay is very clean. Did you do anything differnt to get like that other that degresser and elbow greese. I though I would ask and give u prasie for cleaning that area up. Most ive seen are as dirty as when the motor first came out. Nice job:hail: :hail:

well when the engine was out i just hopped in the engine bay and sprayed some degreaser and wiped it down. I let it all dry up and then spryed some of the areas with high temp gloss black paint. I still got more to prep up. Hopefully by the end of this week i should have some more things done. Its just hard right now because school started up for me and i dont have much time
