I remember the days when I had a LG4. Glad it's over.

yah the LG4 kept me happy for a lil while.... can't wait to get the 350HO in its place.

....I've unbolted the 700 from the Lg4, does it just slip off? The torque converter bolts are undone from the flexplate.

Figured I'd ask before i broke it

Your tranny should just slide apart from the engine, same for the torque converter, as long as the bell housing bolts are out (6 of them) and the torque converter bolts from the flexplate (3?)

Nice engine, My LG4 has the same place your most likely does (floor/engine stand in a corner )

I think I can tell from the pic of the new engine, but please verify once & for all (to settle a discussion on another thread) if the Vortec heads have the "7th" exhaust manifold bolt hole. As in two bolt holes behind the rear port on the passenger side head.

SHE'S IN!

got the 350HO in last night w/ the MD8 attached.

Rebuilt the 4160, hooked up fuel lines, headers, spark plugs/wires, Starter, you name it.

The dizzy needs some work... cap/rotor/coil...

Now I gotta go through all the wires to sort out which ones i don't need....

I still have the hook up the rest of the tranny, driveshaft, and torque arm, hopefully this weekend I can get it back on the road.

I'm at school, I'll try to get a pic or two later tonight....

Man, not driving my car for two weeks sucks.

... i still have all my brackets, but which ones go to the power steering pump? lil lost there...

now to sort through the wiring, any advice? I only need the starter wires, sensor wires, and a tach and battery wires to the dizzy? Don't forget the grounds. Is that it?

TC lockup? I've searched that I can rig up a switch correct? In case i can't get that working right away, I have a 24,000 lb tranny cooler in my garage I'm gonna use.

Just ordered my dizzy tuneup kit, and throttle brackets...

I don't have a soccer game tomorrow, maybe i'll get it running.

... I'll make sure i run open headers the first day i can drive it to school again...

Brandon

my 350HO liked alittle more timing out of the box.

Just set your intial timing to what ever it needs to be at to get your total timing to around 32*
