Easy on the caps there killer.
Swapping the LS2 is basically the same as swapping for an LS1 or LT1 for that matter. The LS2 is ungodly expensive right now and I would look into an LS1 swap. That is unless you have tons of money and really want to up the "cool factor". Other than that you would be spending a lot of money that coul dbe better spent for more power. Search for the thread "Who's gonna be the first". It is all about an LS2 swap.
EDIT: I am in a very giving mood

do you really think you're going to find an LS2 this early in the game for any kind of reasonable amount of money? get an LS1, mod it, and be just as happy. only reason you'd get an LS2 is bragging rights.

the only way you're going to get a 5 speed auto is with some serious adapter plate work and probably custom input shaft and yoke for the driveshaft. in other words, forget it. There's nothing wrong with running the tried and true 4L80E or T-56

yes ive been looking under my car and know its gonna take some work but ive been looking into the possibility of the ZF five speed tranny been tryin to figure out how to work into an ls2 application...L480E is a good tranny but i want max power out of my motor and i dont think a 4 speed auto will do that..so the mission continues by the way heres both my babys

nice girls
you can build a 4l80e to hold any amount of power you can throw at it, especially without a power adder. I just don't see the point of putting a ZF in when you can get a T-56 for a helluva lot cheaper and have no problems putting it in. The only reason I see for a ZF is the novelty of it.
