Just got my LT1 today
Today I picked up my 1995 Corvette LT1 (29,000 miles) from the shipping dock. It'll be going in my 1992 Camaro RS as soon as I get it built and when I find out exactly what I need to do to put this in!
Since I registered here I've been reading up on LT1's and about people who have done swaps, but I still have many questions, which I'll search for. If someone can point me in the right direction though, that'd be great. In the meantime I'll post these questions to whoever would like to answer. Remember, this is an Lt1 out of a 95 corvette:
1. Because of the better accessory placement, will I have any problems physically putting the motor in (i.e. A/C fitment)?
2. My car has a TBI fuel pump. Will a Walbro 255 be good for this engine (will probably like 400HP+ once I'm done with it)?
3. It didn't come with the flywheel. Who makes a good aftermarket one that is lightweight?
4. Where can I get a wiring harness that will be easiest to work with? [This is the scariest part of the whole swap for me!]
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

1. Perfect drop in. Might need to move the engine-side motor mounts to line up with the frame mounted ones, not sure.
2. Will work great, even with mods.
3. What trans are you using?
4. Painless supposedly has a pretty good one, but you still have to splice in everything, which is all you have to do with the original harnesses.
Good luck with the swap. Don't try and get ahead of yourself and you'll be alright.

I will be using a built 4L60E with a 2000 stall converter.
I will also be going with a PAracing/Profab tubular k-member. They have an option to add LT1 motor mounts with the k-member. SHould I do this or will any SBC ones work?

Since you're using the automatic you need a flexplate, not a flywheel. You don't need a new one as no one makes a "lightweight" flexplate, just get one from an LT1 and you'll be fine.
As far as the k-member, as far as I know there are no specific LT1 mounts they can put on since they are in the exact same location as every other SBC.

The motor mounts from the Corvette will not work. You do have to buy new ones (SBC/F-body ones) and they go in diffrent holes on the block (more rearward I believe). The Painless harness plugs in everywhere except for about 10 wires...fuel pump, switched ignition, ground, gauges, etc. What you do have to run is very easy to do. I can't speak for the harnesses out there, but the Painless was very easy to work with and their tech support is outstanding.

I noticed that the computer that the LT1 came with has different connectors than on my 92 computer. Is this the same computer, function wise? Or do both computers have to be used?
Also, this is supposed to be a 95LT1 but I did some searching and found that 95's used obdII conectors, but obdI computers. Is this correct? If so, how will it affect my swap?

Pretty much scrap everything ECM related on your 92...all your connections will be made at the C100 and C230 bulkheads on the thirdgen. The '95 PCM is OBDI and will splice into your existing OBDI connector. It functions similarly to your '92 ECM, but it also controls the 4l60E auto trans. Search for some wiring diagrams and schematics to make all your cuts.

Now, I'm unsure if this engine was coupled with a manual or auto since it doesn't have a flywheel/flexplate.
Will the computer work with the 4L60E even if it was originally used with a manual 6?

You will need to have the PCM programmed for the auto since it actually controls the shifting of the transmission itself.

The computer itself will after you get it reprogrammed with the auto .bin. As for the harness, check your harness now and see if there is a 4ft pigtail coming off with what looks like a bulkhead connector. If you don't have that, you'll need a new harness like sweetride said. If you do have it, you're good.
