You need heads, and not just any old heads either. You could make it run with a set of crap smogger 882's or 993's. It wont be worth a crap though. You could probably get by with some really ported L98 heads, maybe open the chambers up a little. You will need a new intake. A new distributor, stocker will work but you will need a good coil, module, etc. Headers. Spark plugs and wires. Gasket kit. Oil. Antifreeze. Cam and lifters. The list goes on and on.

I wouldnt attempt what you are without a lot more money.

Okay so what is the exact question you are trying to ask us ?? is it what should I put in my engine? or is it how do I build an engine ? or is it tell me what you think I should put in this engine ??

I believe he is looking for an exact rundown of everything he needs to get this engine swap done. Its Pretty basic to find. The reason I said what I did is because he would benefit greatly from reading the past posts on this. Its a long list, and no one wants to take the time to type out something like that, that could be found by searching.

I SBC is a SBC they are the same size.

This might give you an idea. On my build up

My short block cost me ~$3500
418 is made up of:

The block .020 over 4-bolt main 400" Chevrolet block
4.145” finished bore.
3.875" stroke
4340 steel Summit crankshaft.
6" Eagle H-beam
4340 stroker rods
Custom JE flat top pistons
ARP main studs.
The timing chain has a needle Torrington thrust bearing
Cam button set to zero lash.
Hardened steel oil pump drive.

There are over 40 machine shop hours in grinding relief for the rods and crank.
Deep notches along and below the oil pan rail.
There is additional clearance at the bottom of the cylinder bores.

The crank and rod journals are standard size.
The bore is fresh and the pistons & rings are new.

ARP main studs, diamond stripper windage tray
and 4-bolt main block.

The block clearance required for the 3 7/8" stroke crank,
beautifully finished H-beam rods and ARP rod bolts.

The high-volume pump has the pick-up tube
Welded to the body for additional durability.

Sice your using a 168 flexplate you will need a different starter.

When I got my short block. I had an engine builder tear now and put back together for $300. He double checked the work that was done to the motor.

If you have the skill set and if you have the tools. You can build it yourself. Excluding the machine work if need....

That question is best answered by the engine builder/ machinist. It is not as simple as buying a set of wheels and tires. You need a plan. Things work out much cheaper in the end. Fuel quality, intended usage(street, drag, road race etc), emmisions all factor in. Talk to a pro.
